Stuttering Over Time

It seems that the longer MBα is open for, the more frequent stuttering during playback becomes. After about an hour of use, the stuttering became pretty unbearable (every three seconds or so). Relaunching the program fixed the issue, so I'm going to see if I can duplicate it. Currently on minute ten with no playback issues.

I've had some stuttering too, on 0.17.   Happened on a newly ripped CD.  It would stutter every few minutes, but FLAC was fine and I could rewind and replay without stutter.  I'm on a pretty high-end machine, so I wonder if it could be related to hard drive performance.   I will have to try and move music over to my SSD and retry.

Hi guys, there are a couple settings you can adjust now that might help in the settings under the Playback tab. I find DirectSound to be the best playback engine. If you're getting stutters, try increasing the Latency setting. Mine is at 300 milliseconds.

just dropping that the issue happened for me too today, fresh install. tracks skipping every now and then but ruled out the rip quality for been able to move playback to before the skip and it didn't repeat. Directsound was the default playback engine so I changed latency to 400 ms cause why not and haven't had a repeat. The next build might benefit from changing the default latency to something higher
