Dariohanon
So I was Surfing through the forum and I saw 2 things i'd like on Music Box, to which Jason Carr said he's thinking of: The first one and the most important for me is CD Ripping, I'm still old fashioned regarding music and i hate spotify and other streaming services (except for google play music or Plex, more on that later) because they pay close to nothing to artists so the first thing i need to now is if ripping is gonna be posible on FLAC/ALAC; if so, you already have my money. Also someone was talking about the posibility of streaming Music Box like Google Play Music does (from your own library) which would be amazing for me because I'm not a big fan of Goggle Play Music; though i am a fan of Plex so i was wondering if there is any posibility of maybe getting a Plex Add-on too just so i dont have to have all my library stored locally. The Last thing I'd like to know is if there are any plans for a mobile app, because most of them suck specially on equalizers.

Yeah, CD ripping is definitely a priority for me as well. I plan to integrate and use CUERipper, which is the best option out there for CD ripping right now. So that is coming, and by default it will rip to FLAC files with embedded cue sheets. Unfortunately I don't think ALAC will be supported. 23 hours ago, Dariohanon said: Also someone was talking about the posibility of streaming Music Box like Google Play Music does (from your own library) which would be amazing for me because I'm not a big fan of Goggle Play Music; though i am a fan of Plex so i was wondering if there is any posibility of maybe getting a Plex Add-on too just so i dont have to have all my library stored locally. I'd certainly like to add this in eventually as well, though in truth it will probably be a long time before we get there, as there are a lot of other things to add first. 23 hours ago, Dariohanon said: The Last thing I'd like to know is if there are any plans for a mobile app, because most of them suck specially on equalizers. Similar response for this. Eventually, hopefully, but probably not for a long time yet.
gstarr7827
Microsoft Media Player Hey! Just wondering...why spend time and data on a third-party rip program when you can simply take MMP and have a good selection of file formats to choose from as well as a monster organization if you need support? If there are any features I'm missing out on...I'm interested XD.

That's my reasoning behind asking for ripping on music box
Jason Carr
I assume you mean Windows Media Player? We will be integrating a third party application to do the ripping, and it's free and open source. We'll just be making it more straightforward and easier to use. Windows Media Player does a horrible job of ripping though, to be honest. The primary issue is that the error detection is poor, so you don't know if you have a good rip or not, and you often don't.
